Am I Jael?
Last night, Mark mentioned Jael in his sermon. And I remembered who she was. She drove the tent peg through her enemies temple and killed him. This morning I asked the Lord to show me where he wanted to teach me from, and he said "Jael." So I cracked open my Bible, and there it was, right there! Right on that page, the story of Jael! The joy of the Lord fills me!
Judges 5:6, 4:21 in the days of Shamgar, son of Anton, and in the days of Jael, people avoided the main roads, and travelers stayed on the winding pathways.
4:21 but when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and a tent, peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple, and into the ground, and so he died.
People all over the world avoid the main roads now. There is no place in the whole world that is safe.
And the Lord's calling out the JL's of this time, daughters, who will do his will with courage and strength. And the Lord's calling out the Jaels of this time, daughters, who will do his will with courage and strength.
Lord, I what do you want me to do? And I hear, "just paint. "But it isn't a matter of just painting. It's about releasing your truth, revealing your truth. Touching lives with the gifts you have given me. So, use me. Use my mind and my hands and my heart to reach out to a world that is too afraid to walk along the main road. Help me to paint safe pathways that lead to you.
